Gabriel Hernandez (Eric Del Castillo), a wealthy businessman with two daughters, is living the high stress life in Mexico City. A close friend was kidnapped and killed by the Mexican mafia. Gabriel makes a difficult decision to send Veronica (Claudia Troyo), and Patricia (Tatiana Smithhart), to live in the US. Veronica falls in love with Mauricio (Agustin Arana), who is only interested in her fortune. Patricia gets cancer and things get very difficult for the family and now Veronica still has to prepare for an even more painful episode in her life after Mauricio takes all their fortune. By then, Veronica is left with a broken heart and nothing in the bank to take care of the expensive medical bills. Dr. Caballero (Alejandro Ruiz) meets the family during this tough time and helps Veronica get stronger and focus on her sister who is very ill.

Don Gabriel (Eric Del Castillo) un prominente empresario mexicano con dos hijas; se ve expuesto al estrés que se vive en México. Un día recibe la noticia que un amigo ha sido asesinado por unos secuestradores, y eso es el detonador que lo hace tomar la difícil decisión de mandar a Verónica (Claudia Troyo) y Patricia (Tatiana Smithhart) a vivir a Estados Unidos; ahí Verónica se enamora de Mauricio (Agustín Arana) un estafador a quien lo único que le importa es su fortuna. La hija menor se enferma de cáncer y la familia se enfrenta a un sinnúmero de dificultades. El tiempo es muy valioso y Verónica no esta preparada para enfrentar lo que viene después de que Mauricio le roba toda su fortuna. Para entonces a Verónica lo único que le queda es el corazón roto y nada en el banco para pagar el costoso tratamiento medico. El Dr. Fernando Caballero (Alejandro Ruiz) conoce a la familia en estos momentos tan difíciles y ayuda a Verónica a ser fuerte y enfocarse en la salud de su hermana que esta muy mal. ¡Una película que tocara el corazón!
